Mayor Lydia Lavelle has proclaimed Sept. 13-19 as Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week in the Town of Carrboro.
Carrboro has more than 60 BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) owned businesses making up about 15% of the Town’s business establishments. Mayor Lavelle encourages all residents to honor the achievements of minority business owners and to commit to creating a truly equitable economic system so all people can share equally in the promise of our community and our nation.
